Abstract Black and White Photos - Terminal Chase
A figure dressed in black, always just out of reach, a grey city on the sea, the end of the line.
This series mixes movement and calm, but the through line is a kind of mysterious "beyond what's seen" element that really inspired the series as a whole. I wanted to capture that feeling of chasing something that you can't quite catch and that you're not quite sure what you'll find if you did catch it; the melancholy of this chase in our lives. These are 35mm analogue photos printed on high quality Ilford Black and White photo paper. They work well as a set but individually they can also blend into the decor of many spaces, catching the eye and calming the mood.
