I really love this picture. I was wandering the labyrinthine alleys late one night and happened across a man wearing a top hat and suit, sitting alone in a cafe. It was such an image from years long past that I had to capture it. 

I achieved this impressionistic effect by vibrating the camera during a long exposure. I prefer to keep the vibrations as tiny as possible and find subject matter that doesn't require tons of detail to leave me in a dream. This one really worked out for me.

On Hahnemühle's Photo Silk Baryta X paper, this print has a slightly textured surface and medium silky shine.
